This workshop was fantastic. David answered my questions, challenged my eye, demonstrated process, and shared technique improvements all while introducing me to some amazing spots in Colorado National Monument. David is a great teacher and host—knowledgeable, polite, personable, and accommodating. He was very conscious of delivering what I wanted/needed to learn and checked in multiple times to make sure I felt good about how the session was going. I’m so glad I took the workshop and recommend it to anyone looking to improve their photography.

We spent a delightful afternoon with David at Colorado National Monument. As first-time visitors to the area we were enthralled by the scenery and nature. David shared numerous tips and friendly explanations about light and composition as we hiked and climbed in the area. Our equipment was your basic iPhone, our skill level basic beginners yet we came away with photos worthy of framing! David is friendly, knowledgeable, highly experienced and flexible. Highly recommend.

David was a wonderful guide. Friendly, accommodating and ready to tailor the trip to our needs and desires. He really found the most wonderful locations on and off the beaten track and helped us make the best of them with tips on composition, lighting, everything. An informative and fun outing.

We gave David an impossible chore. Maintain the interest of a 9 year old boy with a short attention span and teach him some useful and repeatable photo techniques. Well, he pulled it off. Our grandson has even said he plans to use what he learned next time he uses his camera!
Further, David has a fascinating history and great stories from his earlier years. Ask him about his time at Tower Records in LA. All in all a great addition to our time in Colorado National Monument.
